Guar gum is the basic endosperm of the seeds of the natural strains of the guar plant, Cyamopsis Tetragonolobus (legume family) and is a polysaccharide of galactomannans.
Cosmetic quality guar gum is added to: creams, lotions, masks, shampoos, gels... Guar gum is a thickening agent in cosmetic recipes. It is a yellowish, dry and practically odorless powder. Guar gum is water soluble and can be used as a gelifier. In addition, applications of guar gum include: stabilisation, thickening and emulsifying of cosmetic preparations.
